Try the simplest thing first. Take the case off and check the ide cable by
taking it off and re seating it :)

        Can anyone tell me how I might retrieve my (F) drive ?  I don't use
it very often, and until recently the listing appeared on My Computer, along
with (C_D_&_E).  But all of a sudden it's not on the listing, and if I
insert a
disk in the drive, and want to load a msg reads that (F) is a drive that is
unavailable.

        Any suggestions ??
