I looked this up for someone the other day:

Note that this really *is* IE6, not just looking like IE6.  It claims
to be IE7 because that version number is stored in the registry.  What
you're running when you follow these instructions is the backed-up
version of IE.

You should also be able to go into Add/Remove Programs and uninstall
it.

Have you tried reinstalling PDF995?
