[pchelpers] IE patch may break browser

This is from WINXPNews

*Will the latest IE patch break your browser?*

Microsoft releases updates to their software for different reasons. Some
are to patch security vulnerabilities that have been discovered since
the software was released. Others are to make changes to the
functionality of the software - sometimes to add features that users
have asked for, other times to take away features, usually because of
legal reasons as when the Microsoft Java VM was removed because of Sun's
lawsuit. Sometimes one update has multiple effects, and therein lies the
problem.

One of this month's security patches also included changes to the way
ActiveX controls are handled, because of a lawsuit by Eolas
Technologies. This has caused problems for some users who installed the
patch, and many IT experts are saying functionality changes and security
updates should always remain separate so users and IT admins can choose
what to install and what not to install. They liken bundling the ActiveX
changes with security patches is like when legislators add a totally
unrelated and potentially unpopular amendment to a law that's sure to
pass, a practice almost universally hated by citizens. Read more here:
