[pchelpers] IE 5 doesn't open properly

Hi Guys

I am using Windows 98 SE and this afternoon my IE 5 went on the blink and 
wouldn't open when clicking on its icon or trying to invoke a URL from within 
IE Express. 

It starts to open and just when the URL starts loading - as evidenced by the 
blue indicator line near the bottom of the screen - it unloads and starts the 
process over and over again. 

I tried the following path:- Start..Settings..Control Panel..Add/Remove 
Programs..Install/Uninstall..Microsoft IE5 and Internet Tools..Repair.  This 
still did not resolve the problem and I am left with a browser that will not 
open properly.

Any ideas out there about what could be wrong and how to fix it?
