I bought a USED laptop several months ago. It was a Dell, still had 2
years warranty left of the 3 that it was sold with. Dell lets you type
in the service code of the computer / laptop on their site to see what
warranty is left and what the factory specs are.

I've had poor experience with refurb CRT monitors and "pulled" CPUs.
