[pchelpers] Here's what I did for the association problem.

Hello again!

In windows explorer: Click on the file with the wrong association. Then hold
the
shift key down and right click. (Yep, the right click was one of the 'key
elements'.)
You should see 'open with' selection. Use open with.

Then I had to go find photoimpact since I didn't see it listed in the group of
programs. (I didn't realize I was looking for 'ledit', so it really was there
after
all.) But basically at this point, you can browse to any of the programs you
want it
to open with. (Be sure to check mark the box to always use this program to do
this.)

Ok, at this point it DID open with the right program now. BUT, where it shows
file
type, it still might say the wrong file type, in my case ACDSee Jpeg (or other)
image.

So, here's how you can try to change that. It worked for me btw. : )

Click on Tools in Windows Explorer and select folder options, file types.
Go down to the extension that you want to adjust.
Click on Edit.
There is where you would change the name "description". Select photoimpact or
whatever you wish.
Select Open under Action
Where you see application used to perform this action, put in the path of the
program
you want to use.
In my case it was:
"C:\Program Files\Ulead Systems\Ulead PhotoImpact 7\Iedit.exe" "%1"
Select it and click on the edit button.
(Btw, here it says use DDE, I don't know what that is so I don't know what to
tell
you about that part.)
Click ok, then click Close.
You should be back at the Folder Options.
Now select the next and do the same for all the ones you wish to change.

Sincerely,
