Remember,  if you go back to the old registry file you wipe out everything
you have done in the mean time.  I believe the angle I would take on my
machine, if your new scanner is working fine, is to go into the DR. program
and tell it to forget that warning.  Since I don't run any of those kinds of
programs I can't tell you how, but I know that you can.  It is still stuck
in the past and has probably finding a lost string and is crying that the
"sky is falling" for no reason.
