It was mentioned at these links, but I had not heard of it before you 
brought it up (nothing unusual about that):

Oddly, these pages recommend some form of adware removal to get rid of 
it. I view these with some skepticism. The writer appears to be unaware 
of the distinction between spyware and a virus infection. Also note, the 
information provided is dated in 2004, so it is not a recent issue. Do 
you have reason to suspect you have one?
