It probably was only partitioned for 2 Gig, which used to be the Maximum

Either it would have to be done all over again, or spend a couple of
bucks for "Partion Magic"

If it was just redone recently, I'd opt for just doing it again.

Sounds like drive space was involved, you'll have to undo that first I
think

If you choose this route, always fdisk first, then format, then scandisk,
then install the OS, etc.

AND.......... when you do the fdisk thing make sure that when it asks you
if you want to do the maximum for the whole drive, just say yes  (y)
