Look for a USB floppy drive if you need to run floppies. Normally no drivers
and most are bootable from USB.
The ZX5040 is anice machine though despite the reductions in equipment as
years go on although the original IBM 5150 PC was about $7500 in the 80's
and came with no hard drive, one 180k SS drive, monochrome card and
monochrome green monitor, 64k to 128k ram and no mouse. If I remember that
machine you have with everything was about $1200 or less delivered. If
inflation held true and all the added items you'd surely pay $30,000 for a
laptop (although if you shop IBM's commercial line I bet you could find one
that price). Technology has risen and prices dropped.
