[pchelpers] Hard Drive Test

Just checked my hard drive via Hewlett Packard's web site for my puter.
Their diagnoses was:
"Test failed. Your hard disk might be defective. Please contact HP for
further assistance."
What does Test Failed mean? Them or me?
What kind of test can they do via the 'net and how reliable might it be? My
HD is 1 & 1/2 years old. Laptop 60gig.
