[pchelpers] Harassment

I feel I have been singled out for incessant harassment!

Seriously! I was surfing for an email validator program and
suddenly I was assailed by a flood of pop-ups proclaiming
that "Your System is Probably Infected With bla-bla-bla"
and Security Alerts and the appearance of a "Protection Bar"
under my Firefox address bar - that for the life of me won't
/can't be deleted or disabled.

Also "Adware Popups Detected" and Security Centre "Spyware
Threat" and so on!

I've been to Settings>Control Panel>Security Center and since
I am using Zone Alarm in paid mode, I have turned Firewall off
as well as Auto Update. I have AVG installed and monitoring
my email.

I've done a NoAdware scan and an AVG scan of my entire disk.
I don't have a trojan remover. Can anyone recommend one that
I could use to scan the HDD?


More importantly - please help me rid my machine of whatever
is causing all these alerts.
