Hi,=20
Thanks for your response.=20
Test pages are printing fine. This is only happening on a few pages.=20
Most pages that I've printed off from MS word are ok. Also from Firefox,
some pages are printing okay, but another - always has these lines on =
it. Eg
from a web form - one of them prints fine and another has these lines on =
it
(the lines down the edge are only appearing on lines where text is - =
it's
almost like the tracking function on MS Word). It doesn't matter how =
many
times I print out that form - it has these lines on it.
Sorry that I can't describe this better by email.=20
Thanks for your response though,=20
Scott

Hello Scott
Try printing a couple of test pages from the printer setup in your =
printers
and faxes folder in the Control Panel.
Ie
[Start]
[Printers and faxes]
HP1020 [right click on icon]
[Printer]
[Properties]
General [Print test page]
Run off several test pages.
If you are getting lines on the test pages, it is likely that there is a
fault with the cartridge or it is running out of toner. If the waste =
chamber
is overfull it will dump toner on to the drum and give a vertical band =
down
the page. It is also possible that the fuser sleeve is damaged which =
gives a
similar print effect.
If the lines are always in the same place and are grey or patchy, try
replacing the cartridge.
Let me know what happens, and I'll try to advise from there.
Regards
Andrew

Subject: [pchelpers] HP 1020 Laserjet printer
Dear list,=3D20
I need some help with my laserjet printer. HP 1020. I'm using XP Home
edition.
When printing some documents I get a thick black line down the right =3D
hand
side of the page. It's not on all documents. Sometimes is on documents =
=3D
that
are printed from Firefox, sometimes it on documents from MS Word. On =3D
some
documents it's a continuous line, other documents it's a broken line. In =
=3D
the
documents with the broken line, it only happens on lines where there is
text. It's not the 'track changes' changes option because it also =3D
happens on
Firefox printed documents and on MS word I don't use the 'track changes'
option. But it's also happening on some documents that I've earlier =3D
printed
from Word; the earlier doc had no black line, the one just printed has a
thick line.
I've tried reinstalling the driver, but nothing changes.=3D20
I've gone through the printer options, but there is nothing there which
would indicate what to do.=3D20
Can anyone shed some light on this?
Many thanks,=3D20
Scott
