[pchelpers] HELP! Canon Pixma 4200 Printer

Printer was working last night, this morning it would not print.
Off Line indicator was set on.

Queried the Internet and it mentioned that some printer commands
sent to the printer erroneously could set the off line mode.

I removed the off line check mark on the printer but it still gets
an unexplained error when I send something to the queue.
Status in the queue just indicates "error printing" it does
not set the Off Line indicator.

Can get no indication from checking status that there is anything wrong.

Swapped identical printers from Vista machine to XP machine to the other
and the problem moves with the printer.

Mechanical powered items such as cleaning heads etc. all work with no 
problem.

Any suggestions short of tossing it in the trash??
