[pchelpers] Re: GPS units

We have one. No charge monthly. Now if you WANT a monthly charge they
can fix you up with one. For a fee you can have traffic updates for
larger cities. We've never needed that.
We are in a new territory now and it's huge, mostly rural. It has been
a big help in the ministry work.
Last week Mark had to give a public talk 2 hours away and we used it to
get there. We found out you can set it to find the 'quickest route' and
the 'shortest route'. Originally it wanted us to go one way, but we
went another, so it had to keep 'rerouting'. Then I played with it,
clicked for it to find the shortest route, then we both were in
agreement on which route to take.

And last month when we had to fly out of Memphis Tennessee, it got us to
the airport and hotel without a glitch. Very nice.

Ours has a nice size color screen. It can be taken out of one vehicle
and used in another, and you can even take it out and use it as a hand
held when you are away from the vehicle if you have it charged up fully.

There may be others with better reviews, but we are very satisfied with
ours so far. We've only had it a few months.
We got this one because it worked with the Alpine unit we had installed
in the truck.

BTW, we recently went on a cruise and our cruise director's name was
Becky. So our GPS is our 'cruise directory' and the voice is a womans,
so we have named her Becky. hehe

Good advice is like good paint- it only works if applied.
