I think the red flag is "is not detected by ... anti-virus systems".
AV publishers generally only take a day or two to get updates out, and
chain letters (for that is what it is) are a notoriously inefficient
way of spreading the word about something.

I often see applications which recommend that AV software be disabled
before installation.  In truth, I've yet to see one that truly does
require this step, at least if the system is working properly.  As
I've said before, if you have a problem related to your AV software,
chances are that it's time for a fresh install of Windows.

Having said that, I should note that there are some programs which
have trouble with script blocking, which is found in some versions of
various AV products, and script blocking must therefore be modified or
temporarily disabled.
