If nothing else shifts them, it may be because they are using the 
current operating system to keep going with whatever it is they do. 
Maybe it is time for a passive scan of the system. That is take out the 
hard drive, slave it to another system and scan with that. Under those 
conditions the nasty will have no power to hurt you. ;-)
