You have to decide which feature you want the most - ease of use (by using
direct cd, drag and drop, etc) or space - you will lose about 110 megs of
space on each cd by formatting for direct cd.

Are you using win XP?  If so, then it's built in cd writing is so easy to
use that I would not use direct cd.  Win XP makes cd writing as easy as
direct cd is.

If you do not have xp, then direct cd is the easiest way to do it.

You can use direct cd on write once media as well as cd-rw disks.  You
should be aware that cd-rw disks cannot be read by some cd drives.  This is
important if you ever make music collections and then try to play them in
your car.  Most times, you ain't gonna hear anythin'!!!
Also, most older cd drives in computers, say 24 speed or slower, can have
trouble reading RW media.
