I'm not sure that I can disagree with the article; knowledgeable
people will keep their systems updated and will generally stay away
from obvious junk sites and programs. People who are not knowledgeable
may not keep their systems updated, may not know how to recognize a
junk site, and may accept all firewall warnings just so that they
don't have to argue with it about whether they can use a site or run a
program. My experience is that people who want to access junk sites
and run junk software will often do so no matter what their
antispyware and firewalls try to protect them against.
