[pchelpers] Firefox problems

After re-installing windows 98 in an alternate directory, and recovering 
the application data from the old windows, Firefox is not operating 
properly.

When opened up, the web page window is always blank, but the title text 
appears in the blue band at the top. Links cannot be typed into the url 
line at the top. At first, I thought this must be a corrupt copy, so I 
downloaded and installed another one (Version 1.0.7). It behaved the 
same way.

Regclean fixed some errors (in the brand new registry).

At present, Internet explorer is OK, although not the preferred one. Has 
anyone got a clue what is going on here?
