When you click on the link, the trailing parenthesis is ignored, since
it's assumed to be part of text.  The only way to keep the trailing
parenthesis from being dropped is to have something after it, like
this:

http://kb.mozillazine.org/Unable_to_install_themes_or_extensions_(Firefox)%20

...or to encode the trailing parenthesis, as in your link:

http://kb.mozillazine.org/Unable_to_install_themes_or_extensions_(Firefox%29
or
http://kb.mozillazine.org/Unable_to_install_themes_or_extensions_%28Firefox%29


No reply from Ekhart yet; I guess he's still tinkering. :)
