Jackie, there are two kinds of voices.
ONE voice is for a modem capture voice from the telephone line in
such a manner that it can be used along with a program as an answering
system for your telephone, and also provide a voice response to the
caller. If a modem has this capability it usually says so in the
accompanying literature as a feature.
TWO the second voice is not really voice but it is digital and
all modems are capable of this 'voice' ... The actual audio that you
speak into the microphone is converted picked up by your Sound Card and
the program converts it to digital then sends it out over the modem to
another person connected to the Internet where his program reads the
digital and feeds it back to his sound card which converts it back to
voice and feeds it to the computer speakers or head set.
