   You probably already have a Cable or DSL modem using your ethernet card
now. Never heard of running another modem through ththose modems nor thorugh
an Ethernet card. .
  A simple solution  might be just to go with EFax.  I use EFax for FREE
personal receive and Windos XP FAX driver for sending faxes via a FAX modem
even though I have a Cable Modem for the Internet.
