At the left of every ros is the row header, which contains a number.
You can elect a single row by clicking on the row header. You can
select a range of rows by clicking on the first and then dragging the mouse
to the last, or, you can click on the first, then press the SHIFT key,
and then click on the last. You can select disconnected rows by
clickig on the first, then holding down the CRL key, and clicking on
each of the others.

Once you've selected the row(s) that you want to work with, RIGHT-click
on one of the headers, and you'll get a pop0up context menu. In
Excel 2007, your choices are Cut, Copy, Paste, Paste Special..., Insert,
Delete, Clear Contents, Format Cells..., Row Height..., Hide, and
Unhide. In other versions of Excel, and in other spreadsheet
programs, the options may vary.

The same technique works with columns, and with almost all spreadsheet
programs, including, as far as I know, all versions of Excel.

Yes, this is one of those FEW times where I'll tell you that it's faster
and easier with the mouse than using the keyboard or using the menu or
buttons at the top of the window.

Good advice is like good paint- it only works if applied.
