Yes it did occur to me that the drive is unformatted and maybe that might be 
the problem.  Perhaps I'm wrong but wouldn't Windows still see an unformatted 
drive?  Since Windows didn't detect that drive, then how could I proceed with 
formatting?  I guess I can go to DOS mode and format it from there but surely 
there must be a simpler way than that.
