I am a simple person. Therefore, I TRY to think of simple things first.
1) If you unplug the "problem" Hard drive will the original hard drive
boot/start windows?
2) did you remember to set the jumper on the "problem" hard drive to
"SLAVE"? (assuming that the original hard drive is "master")
3) did you remember to set the BIOS to "Auto detect" for the "primary slave"
(or where-ever you plugged in the "problem" hard drive.)
I realize that these are elementry things, but ALL TOO OFTEN I overlook the
simple things-looking for a BIG problem.

> I have two hard drives in my computer. In an attempt to troubleshoot the
second drive (which was giving me problems), it looks like I accidentally
disabled the main hard drive ("C"). When I went to reboot the computer,
Windows won't start at all. I can't even get into Windows to re-enable the
drive.

Windows recovery disk. Is there a command I can use to enable the drive? I
found an ENABLE command in DOS, but I'm not sure if that's the correct
command to use. Also maybe there's another method of enabling it?
