I don't know about Win2000 for sure but I was taken back when a brand new
drive didn't show up so I could Fdisk and Format it.  Then I went to Disk
Management and there it was, setting there waiting for me.  Now I was going
to 'assume' that since you are running Win2000 that you know about that, but
decided to bring it up.

Now to your original drive....do you have access to another machine running
NTFS (assuming here again)?  If you put it in as a secondary drive, you
might have the opportunity to enable your drive.  I am not sure but it what
I would try.
