Did you see the message where i mentioned the extension that makes a 
webpage think you are using IE when you look at it in Firefox?

There are of course a steadily decreasing number of sites that just 
don't look right in anything except IE because they're not written 
according to the international standards. But this extension helps in 
the cases where the site would look OK if the webmaster hadn't thought 
they should block everything except IE even though their site may be 
standards compliant enough to work with other browsers too.

Yes, they're getting trickier all the time. Have you installed any 
freeware recently that might have had this piggyback? It may have been 
in the small print or not been mentioned at all.

Sounds great! Even if that wasn't everything, it sure was something big. 
It's the fingerprint of the most aggressive outfit known, and they 
usually force porn pages and popups down your throat. Did you maybe have 
problems of that kind a few months ago? Then this dll was a remnant of 
an old security breach and not necessarily connected with SearchIt, but 
maybe they've joined forces.
