Scott, when I am pushing the button the question you asked is quite in
order.
I have played many rental and purchased DVD's on my PC and DVD
player. I have made back up copies of my purchased DVD's and played
them on my PC and DVD player. This was done with the software, DVD X
Copy, TMPGEnc and DVD Santa plus maybe a couple of other basic software
applications that came with some purchased hardware.
Now, I am seeing in the DVD player manual a section that states:
Playable discs: CD-ROM, CD-R (650MB/74min. only),
CD-RW is not recommended.
Then further below, "This DVD video player requires discs/recordings to
meet certain technical standards in order to achieve optimal playback
quality.
Pre-recorded DVDs are automatically set to these standards.
But, I have been playing DVD's R and RW that I have burned. I am
looking for a meethod of burning DVD's of old family non-digital camcorder
tape that I can hand to a family member that can more than likely play my
burned DVD on their DVD player.
The specs of my Toshiba SD-K620KU state.
