[pchelpers] Re: Control Panel

Susan,
You can do a search using the "Find Files and Folders" utility on your
"Start" menu to find all the control panel icons by typing in *.cpl. Don't
delete anything that you can't figure out by the name of the file what it is
for. I am not able to tell you whether the programs will work with out the
control panel applets being there but the worst that could happen is you'd
have to re-install something. But, tell me, why would you not want the added
functionality control panel access gives you? Nevermind. :)

Subject: [pchelpers] Control Panel

I was wondering if shortcut icons in the control panel could be
removed. After adding quite a few programs to the computer over the
years, the control panel is starting to get cluttered with excess
programs that, in my opinion, don't even need to be there. Is there a
way of removing an item in the control panel without uninstalling the
entire program associated with it?

thanks,
Susan
