Sounds like what's happening here at Ft Hood lately. I work for MWR,
and my paycheck comes out of earnings from the clubs and other such
things. With one division sent overseas, things have been pretty
tight; they just started eliminating jobs, and the people getting hit
by the cuts either get offered the same position as flex employess
(half the pay, in addition to half the time, and no benefits), or else
have to find something with another activity, also as a flex. Some of
the people affected have been working here for decades.
