This past week I have noticed a distinct "pause" in whatever
function or process that happens to be running at the time.
This is about a 2 second period until things become "active" again.
It's almost as though a program is running and "hijacking" the processor
for short length of time.
I have increased my swopfile to 2000mb, have run Norton's WinDoc,
but to no avail. Also ran a virus check with Avast! 4 Home edition.
Any suggestions?

Good advice is like good paint- it only works if applied.
