It really isn't that difficult, maybe with an older MB, you'd need to change
the Bios battery and then have to set up the bios again, but boards these
days do everything themselves. When you build them.  Your library should
have an up to date book on building PCs and if you are building a second
one, there is everything you need to know on the net, even down to your
particular board bios settings etc.
Grasp the nettle and try it, you'll be amazed at how easy it is, and you'll
do your confidence a power of good for the next time you need to upgrade
your number one PC.           Just remember, make sure you earth yourself
first, don't do it on carpets with nylon in, (more static) and don't use
magnetic screw drivers.
