Nay, he wants to keep his new laptop.  Like I said, his preference was Dell.

I already helped in install Avast over the phone the day he got it.  But 
he's an older man, now quite annoyed by this continual popup about not 
having subscribed to Norton.  I don't know what it says as I've not seen 
it.  We are in different states.

I'll see if he can uninstall Norton completely as he does not want to 
use Norton/ Symantec.

The reason I wanted to write the list is that I've had problems in the 
past 'uninstalling' anything to do with Symantec products!  If I had 
problems, HE is bound to have more as he does not know how to do things 
like that on a pc.
