Hi,
My PC has a CDRW / DVD Samsung combo drive and also a CD drive. A week ag=
o
the combo drive stopped working (it says d: not ready when I try and read=
disks) - I thought I might have had a virus as I had been on winmx downlo=
ading
music - and wasn't sure my Norton AV was working properly. I also seemed
to have something called PTsnoop running in the background - which has co=
nflicting
write ups on the internet. I have now re-installed NAV and installed a Sy=
mantec
firewall (please don't tell me they're bad?). I've managed to stop PTSnoo=
p
running. I reinstalled the combo driver from the Time support web site (t=
hough
it was a generic CDRW driver.
But - neither of my drives work now, both say they are not ready and when=
I look in devices, though there are no conflicts, only one drive is menti=
oned.
I can see them being recognised at boot up.
Can anyone help - what more information do you need?
Thanks!
