Be careful with this! You said you had a windows partition on the drive
already. If you want to keep this, then do not use delpart. You will need
something like Partition Magic from powerquest to remove all the non-dos
partitions, then fdisk /mbr to re-write the bits you need, then you will have a
working windows drive. You can re-size partitions with partition magic after
you have recovered the drive.
If you want to scrap everything on the drive, then by all means, use delpart.
