[pchelpers] Re: Better approach to OS transfer needed

I use Casper XP.
If I'm upgrading to a bigger drive all I do is plug the new drive
in place of my cd-drive. Then start the computer and run Casper XP
in windows. The program will clone your drive to the bigger drive
while you are working in windows. When finished just replace your
old drive with the new one and nothing has changed but the size of your
drive.

One great thing about this is the ability to keep an OS back-up.
My OS drive is 80G. I have another 80G drive in my system.
I can set Casper XP to make a clone of my OS drive anytime
I want. It can do it automatically on whatever time I set, of you can
have a Clone Icon on the desktop to clone the drive when you click it.
A new feature it that now it does a full clone first, then after that it
will
only clone any new changes since the last clone.

I have cloned a 120G drive in 25 min.

Good advice is like good paint- it only works if applied.
