[pchelpers] Re: Be Careful

Just a tiny addition to the thread here. I appreciated all the thoughts
about this, but here is an additional thought or two.

I am currently signed with Microsoft for notification of updates
regarding my Office 2000. Today they sent an email to me, to the email
address that I specified, and informed me of updates that were available,
I followed it to the Microsoft site and downloaded about 9 different ones
and installed them, it was legit. I wasn't getting anything I didn't know
about as I had signed up for the service.

This is never the case for updates for the operating system, only for my
MS Office 2000.

So, it "is" possible for MS to do this so it shouldn't be a hard and
fast, chiseled in stone, that MS "never" does anything like that. When
there's the Blaster and SoBig and the who knows what's next viruses out
there it is better to err on the side of caution. 

That's it..... my 2 cents have ran out.
