Hi Ray,
Thanks for looking that info up for me.
I Googled the error and ended up on a MS Knowledge Base page (KB931671) 
that explained the error happens when there is an
active PPP connection and you put the computer into sleep mode. They had 
a fix for it that I downloaded but it wouldn't install.
I kept getting the error message: This update does not apply to your system.
I don't know why it kept saying that because I made sure that it was the 
right one for my system.
I guess I will have to contact MS tech support for Vista. In the mean 
time I don't think I'll have a problem if I close my
browsers first before I put it into sleep mode. I've done that and 
gotten no BSOD.
