[pchelpers] Re: Antivirus recommendations

Currently AVG free (resident shield turned off) and AntiVir free regularly 
update and scan on boot (NOT in safe mode) I installed A-squared free and 
Bitdefender after receiving this post. I scan ''manually'' with Spybot S&D. 

Is this sufficient protection or overkill?

Did AntiVir detect this during normal computer use or did you run a full 
scan of your computer? Remember to also run a full scan of your computer 
  in Windows safe mode (tap F8 while starting the computer). You should 
also check with a dedicated antitrojan scanner like A-squared (free)

antitrojan scan (it's necessary and OK to use Internet Explorer on these

AVG's real-time protection mode is called resident shield. Rightclick on 
the AVG icon next to the clock and look for that in the control center.
