[pchelpers] Re: Alternate Browser Firebird

    Ed, Options under tools had the selection Direct Connection to the
Internet. Of course I have a Dial up and it was up and running. I do not
have a proxy server so I do not know what to put in the other settings if
there should be something else selected other than direct connection. IE has
no problem finding mozilla.org.
    However there is a strange coincidence. PeoplePC my ISP has some kind of
a home page window that it displays when the ISP logs on but it also
contains the following message:
==============
 The page cannot be displayed
The page you are looking for is currently unavailable. The Web site might be
experiencing technical difficulties, or you may need to adjust your browser
settings.
 =============
The page looks a little like an IE page but apparently is not because IE
does not come up automatically. If I close that particular page the ISP
disconnects so I just leave it be until I log off.

Good advice is like good paint- it only works if applied.
