[pchelpers] About Installing Home AVG Anti-Virus

I have downloaded, but not installed the free home
version of AVG Anti-Virus.
My question is, "Should I remove my "it came with the
computer for ninty days" Norton's 2002, which is a series
of anti-virus related programs before I install AVG?
And would you have a comment on my thoughts below?
Nortons is advising me that I can renew the their installed
2002 version for a year for $24.95. I am getting all sorts
of email promoting the Norton 2003 version, with or without
extras, in the price range of $25.00 to $40.00. It seems a lot
less confusing just to go with the AVG that many of you
recommend. I do not know whether some of your were
recommending the free or professional edition. I do have
two computers networked with Linksys. It would seem to
be simple for me to put a free version of AVG on each of these
computers although I believe some of the Norton promotional
email said I could put their $39.00 package on both computers.
Thanks,

Good advice is like good paint- it only works if applied.
