[pchelpers] Re: AVG start up

Exhart,

Mcafee is working on my Ethernet desktop but I could not get it to install on
my wifi notebook.  Mcafee and AOL became corrupted on the notebook but I
managed to uninstall them.  I did not try AOL yet but I am sure I have it on
the desktop.

I was wondering if the same IP  connection may be the problem.

AVG is a good product too.  Most anti virus companies are okay.  Now that I
have AVG installed on the notebook it makes no sense to uninstall for something
else, e. g., bit-defender as mentioned by someone else.

I'm very confused.

1) What kind of a network problem do you have?

2) What problems do you have when installing iTunes, AOL, and McAfee?
You said in your last message that McAfee was working.

3) In any case, how could network problems be interfering with your
installation of these programs? Network problems can interrupt or
corrupt the downloading of a program but not its installation. At most
network problems could block a voluntary or obligatory registration
after the installation process. Well, come to think of it, some pay
programs do require registration during the installation process.

Good advice is like good paint- it only works if applied.
