I just did some calculations using lulu. The book in its current form is 
368 pages. This means a fairly high manufacturing cost (Perfect Bound). 
The option to order copies was interesting (presumably for self 
distribution). How big was your husband's book? Did he do his own 
distribution? How did these things pan out in his case?
