I just wanted to get this clear. What cost $399 at sears? I got a DVD 
burner for my computer for
$110 and a TV capture card for $55. With the TV capture card I can hook 
up a VCR, cable  and my
cam-corder. I can burn my vcr tapes or live TV to DVD or burn my 
cam-corder recording to
my DVD.

Oops sorry. Just notice that you said it doesn't go through your Pc. So 
you must have bought
one of those Vcr to DVD stand alone recorders. I went ahead and sent 
this so others know that
you can do this with your PC for a lot cheaper.
