Hi Lisa,

Go Start, Settings, Control Panel, Phone and Modem Options, click on the
tab "Modems" and then click on "Properties" click on the tab "General"
and then go to the bottom of the page to Device usage: and use the down
arrow to select "Do not use this device (disable)"  and then click ok
and ok.
