Sweet! It's fixed and that's all that matters. :-)

Cheers!

  Hi David,

  Thanks for your help.
  Yes, I un-installed Tweakui.
And I ran Ad-Aware and with it I remove 142 items and it fixed my system.
You were right; it was a spyware item that did me in. I don't know which one
and really don't care. If I can avoid spyware I will.

Vic: The rundll32 that is being talked to is connected to tweakui and in
this case I would end the task. Tweakui can do some serious things in
creating problems if you play with it, however, really think spyware is
doing Carl in. :>) He has so much junk running we need to shut some of it
down to isolate the culprit. :>)

The long and short of it is --- do not play round with rundll32 - if it
is there and running Windows needs it for something.

Rundll32.exe = Required for Dial Up Networking. This also appears in the
Startup list if the resolution monitor (used to change monitor
resolution on the fly) is placed in the system tray even if unchecked in
    Startup.
