Hi David,
This one.

And when I click on "To view technical information about the
error report, click here" I see that 102 files and 8 threads
are affected.

What error do you see when you right-click the start button
and left-click explore? I think you indicated it was wrong
version for iexplorer.
You copied one file from dos and that was most likely not
from a XP home version, so that is one part of the problem.

I like to look at trees. :-)
I was trying to find the backup setup files that Windows
xp made when I first installed the program and was hoping I
could execute the setup file if it is on my harddrive.
Yes, I know Dirmagic is software. I've used it for many
years.

you can always use DOS to look at your folders and see
what is there or what is missing..

No, not by "Open" nor by "Explore". :-(

Someone else probably already asked this, but can
you access MyComputer? If so you can access files that way.

            Hey Bob, David, Trapper, Pam & all;

I cannot look at my folders/files tree because
Windows Explorer will not work but I discovered I can go to
my desktop and make a shortcut and surf/browse my folders via
that method and I discovered no i386 folder but I did find a
file called "ie6setup.exe" and I made a shortcut to it on my
desktop. I'll report back if it worked.
