Interesting about Spybot.
I will say that since I've installed SP2 I have no spyware/trogons issues at all. Of course I have other issues I do not like about SP2, such as no CD Easy Writer and no local network.

If it's not in C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc, then it doesn't do
anything.

If you want to use the one that Spybot has, just copy it over.

I thought that Spybot's Immunize function would do this, but
apparently not, so I don't know why that HOSTS file is in the Spybot
folder.
