So do a search under the start button for hosts. Check what you find with notepad.
The only number addresses you find in there should be what they call the null one. 127.000.000, I think.
If there are any other number addresses, they are redirect addresses.
When you type in an address in your browser or activate an address anywhere, it first checks this file for the name address. If it finds the name in here, it will send it to the number address listed. If the address is not found, it will go to the dns server and do do the name number conversion. Name addresses can be redirected here, if one enters the web Ip number address for any name address.
So, if you find another number in here, just delete the name and number and save.

Hi Pam, Have you ever checked your hosts file for the IE problem? There should only be 127 type addresses in there, or someone is redirecting your pages if there is anything else. Bob Noble www.sonic.net/bnoble
